Marcotte — Kilchrist

Kristen Hannah Marcotte and Nicholas John Kilchrist were married Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia. The bride is the daughter of Keith and Natalie Marcotte of New Iberia. The groom is the son of Jo Kilchrist of New Iberia and the late John W. Kilchrist.

The Rev. Gregory Chauvin officiated the afternoon ceremony.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a trumpet-style ivory-colored and gold tulle over satin gown with lace cap sleeves and beaded bodice.

For her headpiece, she wore a tulle veil with lace trim.

She carried a bouquet of various maroon and peach colored flowers surrounded by greenery.

Serving as maid of honor was Melinda Green. Bridesmaids were Bridget Bourque, Averie Koontz, Brooke Bagala and Cheyne Galan. Junior bridesmaids were Addiekay Marcotte, sister of the bride, and Jaylin Marcotte, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Nekko Cuccia. Ring bearers were Drew Marcotte, godchild of the bride, and Manny Armand, godchild of the groom.

Serving as best man was Logan Derouen. Groomsmen were Zack Norwood, Derrik Sandridge, cousin of the groom, Chandler Marcotte, brother of the bride, and Brady Saintes.

Luke Latiolais and Chad DeRouen Jr., cousin of the bride, served as ushers.

A reception for family and friends was held at Willow Wood Hall in New Iberia.

Following a wedding cruise to Cozumel, Belize and Mahogany Bay, the couple will reside in Youngsville.
