I am the owner of Dronet’s Auto Repair in New Iberia. We are a second-generation family business that was started by my father, Clifford Dronet, in 1974. For over 40 years, we have been blessed to have earned the trust of many wonderful customers. Through good times and bad, we have always put our customers first. Now it’s time that we give back to the community.

This year for Christmas, we are giving away a car to a needy person or family within the New Iberia community. The lucky recipient will actually purchase the car for $1. In return, they will receive a dependable automobile that has been fully serviced by us.

I am asking for the community’s help in this project. To be eligible for the giveaway, a person or family must be nominated by someone from the community. We are asking the community to submit names of people who they think are deserving and are truly in need. We ask that you submit this information by email or by mail. The information should include the person’s or family’s name, their contact information, and the reason for their nomination. The winner of the contest will be decided by a panel of three judges. Once the car is awarded to the lucky recipient, they will be responsible for registering and insuring the vehicle properly.
