Desormeaux — Mendoza

Megan Nicole Desormeaux and Zach Anthony Mendoza were married Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia. The bride is the daughter of Quentin Jude and Nicole Robin Desormeaux of New Iberia. The groom is the son of Scott and Allison Mendoza of New Iberia.

Anne Swanson officiated the ceremony.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless gown with scalloped neck and back line fit and flare silhouette, with gold lace embroidered appliques and crystals, finished with a semi-cathedral train.

For her headpiece, she wore two veils of champagne color, one chapel length and the other cathedral length.

She carried a bouquet of baby’s breath, greenery and white roses.

Serving as maid of honor was Heather Crappell, future sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Haley Haydel and Emma Stelly, cousin of the groom. Flower girl was Mia Mendoza, cousin of the groom. Ring bearers were Paxton Alexander Desormeaux, nephew of the bride, and Kellan Mendoza, cousin of the groom.

Serving as best man was Justin Kyle Desormeaux, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Val Jordan Slaughter, cousin of the bride, Christopher Slaughter, cousin of the bride, and James Hoogendoorn.

William Hobbs served as usher.

A reception for family and friends was held at Rip Van Winkle Gardens in New Iberia.

Following a wedding trip to Walt Disney World, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
