Mr. & Mrs. Elliott Denton Doucet

Irene Barry Bower and Elliott Denton Doucet exchanged vows Friday, May 5, 2017, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Iberia.

Rev. Alexander Albert officiated the ceremony assisted by Sacristan John Manes.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bower of New Iberia. Mrs. Bower is the former Amelie Landry. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Alfred S. Landry Sr. of New Iberia, Mr. Robert J. Bower of Kentland, Indiana, and the late Dorothy Spears Bower. The groom is the son of Ms. Linda Doucet of Shreveport and Mr. and Mrs. David Doucet of Shreveport.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a beaded high-neck gown with a satin skirt, which was the same dress her mother wore on her wedding day.

Elyse Dianne Bower served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Rebecca Noelle Hagaman, Rikki Elizabeth Judice, Amy Trappey Korrapati and Amelie Andrepont. The flower girl was Ainsley Claire Andrepont. The ring bearer was Alexander Prescott McCarthy.

Serving as best man was Michael Dalton Doucet. Groomsmen included Nicholas Gene Jones, Kevin John Huber, Eric Glen Andrepont and Jayson Paul McMillan.

Kevin Bower and Matthew Simmons served as ushers.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Rip Van Winkle Gardens.

Following a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in New Orleans.
