Gun control issues

I would like to know how more gun control laws would have prevented the massacre in Las Vegas.
This deranged being was determined to kill as many people as he could and he has been planning and preparing for a long time, possibly months if we look at the various purchases of weapons and ammunition.
Even if gun laws were such that he would not have been able to get weapons, apparently he had explosives, so there was a plan B. And if it was not with explosives, maybe he would have run a truck into the crowd or maybe an airplane since it seems that he was a pilot with access to such items. One way or another, he was going to commit this murder.
The fact is that no amount or laws or restrictions would have prevented this massacre. The democrats and some Medias are jumping into the gun control debate as if that was the solution.
Where is it written that government is supposed to solve all problems? Why are we getting so dependent on the government? We are giving so much power to our legislators, almost to the point of making them gods.
There are events and situations that we cannot control. Evil exit and we are not capable of fighting it. That is why we need GOD, not gods.
The Democrats are all in arm to push gun laws, working on emotions, but as I recall in the beginning of president Obama first term, they were in control of the White House as well as both Chambers of Congress. They had all the powers to push legislation for more gun control. Why did not they? They did not have the gut to do it. They knew that they would lose their constituents. It is easier to scream and demand when in the minority.
They lie and manipulate the facts, use emotion to push their agenda without any rationality. We are all saddened by this massacre but I do not believe that the solution is with more restriction on law-abiding citizens.
The loopholes the Democrats keep speaking about are not in fact real. One cannot for example purchase a firearm from a dealer at a gun show without a background check. If it cannot be done on location the customer has to wait a few days to take possession of the weapon, after the dealer get a chance to make the check. The same process applies to purchase on line where the weapon is delivered to a dealer before getting to the customer.
We do not need more gun control laws, we need to enforce the existing laws and have the perpetrators seriously penalized as the law dictates.
Most countries in Europe, among other, have very strong gun laws, and that has not stopped attacks such the Bataclan in France, where 129 died and 350 were wounded, or in Oslo and Utoya Island in Norway with 77 dead and 319 injured.
In Nice France, 86 dead 458 wounded, Barcelona Spain, London, England ,they used trucks as weapon. Gun laws did not help.
Some say that the bump stock should be outlawed. How is that going to change anything? The cat is out of the bag. This device is out there, and will come to the black market if deemed illegal. Other will be able to manufacture it.
We are fighting the wrong battle and our legislators know that, but it makes them look good when they take stand on such issue. In the mean time we are losing the moral core of this country. This is the battle we need to have the courage to fight.
