Robert S. “Bob” Harding

Robert S. “Bob” Harding, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Lafayette General Hospital.

A native of Flint, Michigan, Bob moved to Louisiana in 1970, and has been living in the area since that time. He traveled extensively as a foreman and a roustabout in the oil field industry.

He received his honorable discharge from the U. S. Army during World War II as a light infantry truck driver. He was a resident of Liverpool, Nova Scotia Canada. A recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, he was recommended to enlist as a T4 in the reserves.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Grathoff; stepson Elbert Harvard; friends Wanda Miller and husband, Mac, of New Iberia; and son Ronald Kenny of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Laura Harding; wife, Felicia Harding; daughter Sandra Harding; siblings Fred Harding, Kay Frawnfelter and Arthur Harding.

It was his desire to be cremated and have his remains placed with those of his wife.
