Funeral services will be celebrated for Mrs. Frank Bourgeois Jr., the former Mary Dore, 84, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Francois Sainte Marie officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday from 8 a.m. until service time. A Rosary will be prayed at 11 a.m.

A native of Olivier and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bourgeois passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Iberia Manor South.

Born on November 7, 1935, to the late Rand and Eunice Daniels Dore, Mary was one of three children. She was a kind and loving woman who enjoyed the simple life of country living. Mary had a love of everything Elvis Presley and liked to show off her impressive collection of Elvis memorabilia. She also enjoyed dancing with her husband, especially to Elvis songs, at club La Lou. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Mary will be truly and deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Bourgeois Jr.; son Frank Bourgeois III, and wife, Roberta, of Cade; grandchildren Chad Bourgeois and wife, Vinnie, Brad Bourgeois and wife, Sonny, and Douglas Bourgeois and wife, Courtney; great-grandchildren Malaya Guidry, Mia Bourgeois, Kaia Bourgeois and Hunter Bougeois; and great-great-grandchild Vaida Guidry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Rand and Eunice Dore; and siblings Francis Dore and Rose Dore.

Pallbearers will be Frank Bourgeois III., Chad Bourgeois, Brad Bourgeois and Douglas Bourgeois.
