Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Antoine A. Breaux, 85, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Breaux passed away at 11:55 a.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at his residence.
Mr. Breaux was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed spending time gardening. He was employed in the oilfield industry all of his life with more than 25 years spent with Heldenbrand and retired with 30 years of service at Pinnacle Oilfield Services.
He is survived by his companion of 37 years, Betty B. Parr, of New Iberia; two stepsons William Parr and Kelly Parr; two daughters Peggy Decoux and Penny Moreaux; one brother Joseph Breaux; one sister Zoe B. Gustelien; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexandre and Regina Menard Breaux; three brothers Francis Breaux Sr., Rudolph Breaux and Austin Breaux; one sister Mary B. Armentor; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the family.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana, NSI and Home Sweet Home. A special thanks to his caregivers Mary Green, Felicia Bonin and Cassandra Johnson for all of the support and help during these difficult times.
