The Professional Bowlers Association returns to ESPN for the 38th consecutive year, beginning Sunday, Dec. 10, with the USA vs. The World Tournament.

Here is the 2017-18 ESPN-PBA Tour schedule (all times Central).
• Sunday, Dec. 11, noon — USA vs. The World; Sunday, Dec. 17, noon — PBA Chameleon Championship, followed by the Shark Championship at 1 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 24, noon — PBA Cheetah Championship, followed by the PBA Scorpion Championship at 1 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 31, noon — PBA World Championship.
• Sunday, Jan. 7, noon – World Bowling Tour Men’s Finals followed by the World Bowling Tour Women’s Finals.

The 2018 Louisiana State USBC Women’s Bowling Association State Championship Tournament is set for Baton Rouge at Circle Bowl, according to Association Manager Susie Brown.
Tournament dates are Jan. 27-28, Feb. 3-4, 17-18 and 24-25. Due to Mardi Gras, the tournament will not be held the weekend of Feb. 10-11.
This is a four member team tournament. Entry dead line is Dec. 15 unless the schedule is filled sooner.
Teams, doubles and singles events will take place at Circle Bowl only. On Saturdays, singles and doubles will be held at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. On Sunday team events will be held at 9 a.m. and noon.
Also taking place during the tournament will be the Louisiana Women’s Senior Tournament.
All rules and regulations and price of each event can be found on the entry blank.
Entry blanks have been mailed out to all team captains and bowling center in the state, according to Association Manager Susie Brown.

Joe Novara of East Patchogue, New York, has become the 33rd bowler to bowl a 900 series according to a prepare statement from the United States Bowling Congress.
The trio of perfect games are pending approval from USBC and would be the 34th USBC-approved 900. It marks the first perfect set of the 2017-2018 season and the fourth during the 2017 calendar season.
The first approved 900 series was bowled by right-hander Jeremy Sonnenfeld of Lincoln, Nebraska, On Feb. 2, 1997.
