LAFAYETTE — Isaac Thibodaux scored 14 points and Kolbe Chretien added 10 as Catholic High beat Sacred Heart of Ville Platte 41-24 in the CASA Boys Basketball Jamboree Tuesday night.

Kaiden Burgess added 7 points and Javian Willis had 4 for the Panthers, who scored 28 points in the first half and 13 points in the second half.

Individual statistics for Sacred Heart were not available.

Catholic High opens the regular season Monday at Sacred Heart in a rematch.

Family Christian 76, ESA 39

CADE — Chase Anderson and Josh Barkow each scored 13 points as Family Christian bolted out to a 23-11 first quarter lead and cruised past ESA for a non-district win Tuesday.

Ata Hammond added 12 points for the Flames (1-1). Family Christian led 45-26 at halftime and 66-33 at the end of the third quarter.

Tucker Arkin and Mark Dibbs each had 10 points to lead ESA (1-1) while Danny Ahluwalia added 6 points.

ESA heads back to Baton Rouge Friday to face Runnels.
