COTEAU- The Coteau man who has been missing since Tuesday has been found dead, according to the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.

IPSO spokesman Maj. Wendell Raborn said 83-year-old Leroy Blaze was found at approximately 1:30 p.m. near his home. Raborn said no foul play was suspected.

Toney Wade with Cajun Coast Search and Rescue said Blaze was found in a pond. Rescue teams covered at least 10 miles Tuesday night and early this morning searching.

Blaze was discovered missing Tuesday near the 6400 block near his home in Coteau. According to the original statement he had several medical issues that warranted concern for his well-being.
