JEANERETTE — A mobile home fire located on Hubertville Road Thursday morning resulted in no injuries. 

Interim Jeanerette Fire Chief Sherry Landry said the Jeanerette Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 10:20 a.m. regarding a fire on Hubertville Road, near the train tracks. Firefighters discovered a mobile home in flames, and were able to extinguish the fire in about 10 minutes. 

Landry said no one was home at the time of the fire, and was allegedly caused by a heater that the occupant of the left on after he left the mobile home. 

JVFD and Iberia Parish Fire District No. 1 assisted in the fire.
