A Home-going Celebration will be held for Davon Michael “Nasty” Thompson 37, at 10 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017, at Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Francis Davis, officiating.

He will await the resurrection in St. Matthew Cemetery in New Iberia.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 7 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until time of service.

A native and resident of New Iberia, LA, he passed at 12:10 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Iberia Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Renetta Thompson of New Orleans; three children: Chace Thompson of New York, NY, Bria Reed and Jaden Reynolds of New Iberia; one sister, Victoria Thompson of New Iberia; maternal grandmother, Sheryl Thompson of New Iberia, nieces and nephews, Justice Ricketts, Madison Derouen, Makenzie Thompson and Clint Victorian Jr.; godchildren, Justice Ricketts and Cadyn Lewis; godparents, Carolyn Nicholas Holland and Irving Thibodeaux; his girlfriend, Ashley Daniels of New Iberia; two favorite cousins, Inga Dorsey and Uniqua Dorsey of New Iberia, and a host of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Paul “P.T.” Thompson and maternal great-grandparents, William Nicholas and Clara Lee Nicholas.

Active pallbearers will be Brock Mitchell, Jamal Layne, Shaquille Nicholas, Tristan Hall, Tyrick Daniels, and Robert Thibodeaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Chatman, Adrian Sereal, Justice Ricketts, Jeffrey Prince, Michael Green and De’Quarien Daniels.
