Anne Hamley de Mahy and Kyle David Thibodeaux were married in a Nuptial Mass November 24, 2017, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Iberia. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip de Mahy Sr. of New Iberia, and the groom is the son of Kirt Thibodeaux and Kathy and Paul DiCapo of Opelousas.
The Reverend Nicholas DuPre officiated the 7:00 p.m. ceremony.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a beautiful floor length gown with covered buttons and a chapel length train featuring a sophisticated A-line silhouette, high neckline, English netting, sheer lace applique and scalloped edging that continuing down the back.
For her headpiece, she wore an heirloom finger-tip veil and carried a bouquet of burgundy and blush garden roses accented by flowering eucalyptus.
Serving as matron of honor was Marie Elizabeth Oliver, sister of the bride and as maid of honor was Lauren de Mahy, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kirsten Dupre, sister of the groom, Hali DiCapo, step-sister of the groom, Liz de Mahy, sister-in-law of the bride, Sarah Landry and Raven Fournier. The flower girls were Adelle and Marguerite de Mahy, nieces of the bride.
Serving as best man was David Savoie. Groomsmen were Philip and Don de Mahy, brothers of the bride, Shadd Leger, Nick Bellard, Ross Richard and Guy Soileau.
Logan Dupre, a brother-in-law of the groom and Noah Oliver, brother-in-law of the bride, served as ushers.
A magical dance-filled reception for family and friends was held immediately after the ceremony at Antique Rose Ville. Following a Caribbean honeymoon on the beaches of Barbados, the couple will make their home in Lafayette.
