Renee Therese Bonin and Thomas Gerard Gary were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Peters Catholic Church in New Iberia. Officiating at the 1 p.m. Nuptial Mass was the Rev. William Blanda.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Francis J. Bonin and the late Beryl K. Bonin of Jeanerette. The groom is the son of Evelyn Picard and the late Edwin Gary of New Iberia.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a custom made gown of silk dupioni featuring a Queen Anne neckline with a fitted bodice that flowed into a cathedral length train. Her bodice was covered in Alencon beaded lace. Her fingertip veil was held with a beaded brooch. The bride carried a short cascade of light pink roses, white hydranea, and larkspur with accents.
Serving as matron of honor was Catherine B. Herring, sister of the bride. Serving as maid of honor was Francine Bonin, sister of the bride. Serving as bridesmaid was Janice Binkley, sister of the groom. They each carried a garden cluster of pale yellow hydrangea, stargazer lillies and ivory roses with accents.
Serving as best man was Russell Herring, brother in law of the bride. Serving as groomsmen were Richard Gary, brother of the groom, and Brad Landry, nephew of the groom.
Serving as ushers were Tom and John Bonin, brothers of the bride.
After the ceremony, a reception was held at the Gougenheim in New Iberia.
The couple will reside in New Iberia.
