JEANERETTE — A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Saturday, December 2, 2017, at 10 a.m. for Mrs. May Ruth Mendoza, 81, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church located at 11200 Old Jeanerette Road Jeanerettewith Fr. Andreas Kedati officiating. Burial to follow at St. John the Evangelist Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 2, 2017, beginning at 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Mrs. May Ruth Mendoza went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at 8:20 a.m.

She is survived by her children Antia Boudreaux of New Iberia, Carl Mendoza and wife, Diana, of the Philipines, Ruth Landry and fiancé Barry Sequra of New Iberia and Cindy Picard and husband, Russell, of Jeanerette; sisters Leatrice Marquette of Jeanerette and Nell Derise of Jeanerette; brother O’Neil Derise of Jeanerette; sixteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband of 43 years, Ronald Anthony Mendoza; her parents, O’Neil Paul and Anita Savoy Derise; son-in-law Jesse Boudreaux; son Keith Mendoza; daughter Lydia Gonzales; and her sisters Iola Williams and Nina Jumonville.

Pallbearers will be Carl Mendoza, Ronald Mendoza, Brad Robicheaux, Anthony Boudreaux, Cory Boudreaux, Dax Landry, Kaiser Landry and Russell Picard.

Honorary pallbearers will be all of her grandsons.
