Jasmine Palmiano and Jacob Henderson were united in Holy Matrimony Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette, Louisiana. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Mark Derise and Rev. Manny Fernandez.
Jasmine is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Alberto Palmiano of New Iberia. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Miguela De Rosales of Los Angeles, California, the late Mr. Vivencio DeRosales and the late Mr. and Mrs. Restituto Palmiano formerly of Albay, Philippines.
She is a 2008 graduate of Catholic High School in New Iberia, a 2012 graduate of Louisiana State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, and a 2015 graduate of Our Lady of the Lake College where she received her Masters of Medical Science. She is currently employed as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant.
Jacob is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Henderson of Baton Rouge. He is the grandson Mrs. Dorothy Dessieux of Potosi, Missouri, the late Mr. Paul Russell Dessieux and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Robert Henderson formerly of Baton Rouge. He is a 2007 graduate of Parkview Baptist High School in Baton Rouge, a 2011 and 2013 graduate of Louisiana State University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and his Masters of Business Administration. He is currently employed with LocalMed.
Given in marriage by her father, Jasmine wore an ivory-colored and blush Eve of Milady lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and cold shoulder lace straps. The fit and flare style featured a chapel length train. She accented the look with a horsehair veil scattered with Chantilly floral lace.
She carried a hand tied bouquet wrapped with photo charms of her beloved grandfather, Vivencio De Rosales and friend Daniel Gilbert. It was filled with ivory and blush garden roses, ranunculus, mums and hydrangea accented with dusty miller and eucalyptus.
Anne Catherine Roussel Mouton served as Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids included Kassie Roy, Noelle Comeaux and Mallary Louviere, Verna Jane Abante and Crystal De Rosales, cousins of the bride, Maria Nguyen Palmiano, the bride’s sister in law, and Ashley Henderson Schroeder, sister of the groom. The flower girl was Riley Schroeder.
Joshua Henderson, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Andrew Lato, Austin Mayeux, Derek Gilbert and Chris deCesare and Bryant Palmiano and Al Palmiano, brothers of the bride. The ring bearers were Tristen Schroeder and Jaxon Henderson, the groom’s nephews.
Ushers were Jace Henderson, Taylor Mayeux, Chris DeRosales and Ted DeRosales. Bibiane Kim and Jhona Llamzon greeted guests and handed out the programs.
The primary sponsors of the ceremony included Belen DeRosales and Geraldo Palmiano. The secondary sponsors included Daisy and Art Mangubat with the cord, Veny and Al Justin Palmiano with the veil and Ashley and Steven Schroeder with the arras.
The ceremony readers were Deanna Politte, the groom’s aunt; Roxanne Margolin, the bride’s cousin and Katie Delaune.
Ceremony musicians included organist Tom Niel, vocalist Sasha Massey, trumpeter Wilfred Green; and violinist Lauren Baker.
A reception was held at Le Pavillon. Following a honeymoon to the Maldives and Australia, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
