Raywood Landry

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Raywood Landry, 84, who passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017, in New Iberia.

Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Keith Landry will officiate.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at  Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia.

A native of Abbeville, Mr. Landry was born on April 23, 1933, to the late Senauh Landry Sr. and Sadie Suire Landry. He worked as a mechanic for Sam Broussard and Dutch Gosnell. Mr. Landry enjoyed listening to French music, cutting grass, being outdoors and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his son Raymond Landry and wife, Annie, of New Iberia; daughters Donna Landry of New Iberia, Priscilla Borres and husband, Brian, of Loreauville, Raynette McNett and husband, Harold, of New Iberia, Kathy Landry and husband, Mike, of Youngsville; brother Senuah Landry Jr. and wife, Dorothy, of Kaplan; sisters Geraldine Dupis of Rayne, Sadie Trahan and husband, Paul, of Duson; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma LaPointe Landry; daughters Barbara Landry and Katherine Landry; son Donald Landry; sisters Mary Ann Landry and Annie Lou Trahan; and a brother Antoine Landry.

Pallbearers will be Jason Landry, Casey Landry, Elton Meyers, Brandon Landry, Cameron Landry and Jeffery Chauvin.
