A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia for Theresa DeBiasi DiMarco, 87, who passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017, in Abbeville.

Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Keith Landry will be the celebrant.

A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

Mrs. Dimarco was born on September 29, 1930, in New Iberia to the late Joseph and Rose DeBiasi, and was the owner of Fred’s Flower Shop on Center Street. An avid New Orleans Saints fan, she was a great cook and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Salvador “Buster” DiMarco, of New Iberia; sons Frederick DiMarco of New Iberia, Joseph DiMarco of New Iberia and Salvador “Buddy” DiMarco Jr. and wife, Lisa, of New Iberia; a granddaughter Amber Nicole DiMarco of Lafayette; and sister-in-law Patsy DeBiasi of New Iberia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an aunt who raised her Camellia; a brother Vincent DeBiasi; and a sister Norma McCrimmon.

Pallbearers will be Frederick DiMarco, Joseph DiMarco, Salvador DiMarco Jr., Gary Stoute, Karl Theriot and Danny Cortes.

Honorary pallbearers include Jackie Guillot and Todd DeBiasi.
