Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 1 p.m. in Grace Presbyterian Church, 518 Roselawn Blvd., Lafayette, for Aaron Neil Senne, 68, who died January 1, 2018, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Robert Ogle will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Cle’lie Dalton Senne; one daughter Jordan Senne Moore and wife, Sandy Moore; one sister Alice Jean Sheppard and husband, Ron; and one brother Roger W. Senne and wife, Virginia.
Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, George W. Senne and Onnolee Wallace Senne; and one brother George L. Senne.
Born in Genevia, New York and a resident of Lafayette for over 40 years, Aaron was a loving husband, son, father and brother. He was a pilot for the U.S. Army and continued to fly helicopters in his civilian life. He was a very dedicated person in all areas of his life. He was involved in many military and community groups. Aaron traveled to the Congo in Africa to aid the Children of the Congo organization. He was very involved with both Grace Presbyterian and St. Pius X Catholic Church. He also enjoyed traveling, on his last trip he traveled to many countries throughout Europe.
Honorary pallbearers for Aaron Neil Senne will be Ashton Mouton, Andre Neto, Francois Neto, Sammy Pyle, John Stevens, Jeff Aycock, Bill Grubb, Bob Pillion and David Kilchrist.
The family would like to thank all the many doctors who were involved in Aaron’s care, Reverend Aline Russell, the doctors and staff at AMG Specialty Hospital, Agnes’ Loving Care and all the many friends who helped in their time of need.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Martin & Castille’s Downtown location on January 3, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
