Iberia Chamber banquet slated for Jan. 19 in Cade

Iberia Parish businesses will once again take center stage.

The Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce will hold its 79th Annual Banquet on Jan. 18 at the Cade Community Center, 1688 Smede Highway. The banquet, presented by DSF Wealth Management, will begin at 6 p.m. with various local restaurants featuring their favorite plates for tasting, a silent auction that includes local artist submissions and keynote speaker, University of Louisiana-Lafayette baseball coach Tony Robichaux, addressing the crowd.

Robichaux has led the Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team for 19 seasons, a stretch that includes nine NCAA Regionals, three NCAA Super Regionals and an appearance at the 2000 College World Series. Robichaux also led the Cajuns to five Sun Belt Conference regular season titles and three Sun Belt Conference Tournament titles.

The event will conclude with the Greater Iberia Chamber of Commerce honoring its Business Impact Award winner (Community First Bank), the Small Business Impact Award winner, (The Bayou Chateau Bed & Breakfast) and the Civic Service Award winner (Ryan Huval.)
