Nina Comeaux Guillot

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Nina Comeaux Guillot, 95, who passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017, in New Iberia.

Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia.

A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mrs. Guillot was born on September 2, 1922, to the late Bertrand and Ella Romero Comeaux. She was a fabulous cook and a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughters Gail Disch and husband, William “Bill,” of New Iberia, Janie Schick of Dallas, Texas, Katie Lancon and husband, Lynn, of New Iberia and Trudy Guillot of New Iberia; brothers Lonest Comeaux and wife, Olivia, of New Iberia, Warren Comeaux of New Iberia, J.B. Comeaux of New Iberia and Richard Larry Comeaux and wife, Heather, of New Iberia; ten grandchildren Greg Disch, Todd Disch, Pam Disch, Patrick Disch, Claire Disch, Thomas Schick, Brent Schick, Eric Schick, Stacy Lancon Dardar and Steven Lancon; and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Harrison Paul Guillot; sister Dorothy “Dot” Vaughn; and brother-in-law Daron Vaughn.

The family would like to give special thanks to her sitter Paulette Pepper for her compassionate care and support, and also to her hairdresser JoAnn Segura for her love and patience.
