A Memorial service celebrating the life of Mr. Charles “Charlie” Ronsonet will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at David Funeral Home’s Chapel of New Iberia with Father Keith Landry officiating the services. Inurnment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 10 a.m..

A native and resident of New Iberia, “Coach C,” as he was affectionately known, passed away at 11:56 a.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Iberia Medical Center. Charlie had a true servant’s heart and enjoyed giving back to his community and nation. He served in the National Guards where he was honorably discharged and also retired from the Iberia Parish School Board after 21 years of loyal service. His favorite pastime was gardening and he was also the owner of a local lawn service. He was very passionate about watching LSU and Saints football games. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Ms. Barbara Moss Ronsonet; his sisters Cheryl Denison (Richard), Susan Hanks, Fran Norris (Johnny) and Phyllis Breaux; nieces and nephews Richard Denison Jr. (Madeleine), Jacob Denison (Whitney), Lauren Beuhler, John Norris IV, Luke Norris, Megan Gary (Grant) and Zachary Breaux; great-nieces and nephews Jordan and Ian Beuhler, Olivia and Landen Dauzat, Marleigh and Analise Gary and Bentley Breaux.

He is preceded in death by his father Mr. Charles J. Ronsonet Sr.
