Port of Iberia meeting moved

Port of Iberia Executive Director Craig Romero will update the port’s Board of Commissioners on a letter of intent between the Port District and Goldman Sachs regarding the purchase of more than 100 acres of property at 6005 Port Road at the board’s regular meeting tonight. The property is the former site of Dynamic Industries’ West Yard Site.

Oneil Lambrough of GIS Engineering will also address the board regarding updates to several bulkhead construction projects under way.

Board Executive Director Craig Romero will discuss approving an invoice from LeBlanc Marine, LLC, for the removal of a sunken vessel in slip No. 5.

Romero also will give the board an update on ongoing negotiations with R. Hamilton “Hammy” Davids and Coldwell Banker Pelican Real Estate regarding real estate leases with Crosby Energy Services, and discuss a potential economic development project involving the installation of an eight-foot gas pipeline at Lousiana CAT.

John Istre, of Broussard, Poche, L.L.C. will address the Port of Iberia Board of Commissioners regarding an audit of the 2016-2017 fiscal year tonight at the board’s regular meeting.

The meeting, initially scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, was rescheduled for tonight. It will be held at the port’s administrative offices, at 4611 South Lewis St., in New Iberia, at 5:30 p.m.
