- The annual gathering of former Queens of Andalusia was held Jan. 19 at Beau Soleil Cafe & Catering. Her Majesty 2017, Queen Carlotta II, Andree Schlicher, was this year’s honoree. Royalty explore the mystical ocean waters in 62nd Year
The Krewe of Andalusia went deep beneath the Ocean’s blue, on Saturday, January 20, 2018, to the world of Atlantica, where Mermaids and Mermen reign the sea. The 62nd celebration of the Krewe of Andalusia held the Coronation of the Ocean’s mystical monarchs, King Neptune and Queen Amphitrite. Reigning over Andalusia’s 62nd celebration were King Neptune III, Dr. Harold Rider and Queen Amphitrite III, Kelly Patout Romero. In costumes replicating Atlantica’s official regalia, their Majesties were presented to Krewe members at the Louisiana Sugar Cane Festival Building.
Attending the queen as Royal Trainbearers were Elise Michelle Gary, daughter of Chad and Ashlee Gary; Emmeline Claire Mason, daughter of Chris and Christina Mason; Caroline Jeanne Hulin, daughter of Dusty and Joleigh Hulin; Marie Collette Rosenzweig, daughter of Dr. Seth and Julie Rosenzweig; Tinsley Kyfer Evans, daughter of Travis and Thip Evans; and Kloe Elizabeth Brown, daughter of Todd and Keri Brown.
Attending the King as Royal Pages were John Christopher Dippel III and William Haik Dippel, sons of Christopher and Maureen Dippel Jr.; Tanner Michael Haik, son of Christopher and Michelle Haik; Eli Andrew Rider, son of Dr. Harold and Shelley Rider; Georges Pierre Rosenzweig, son of Dr. Seth and Julie Rosenzweig; Alex Paul Allain Viator and Charlie Rae Allain Viator, sons of Dr. Timothy and Virginia Viator; Wesley David Broussard, son of Marcus and Jenee Broussard; and Zack Joseph Desormeaux, son of Beau and Mandy Desormeaux.
Serving as Princes to His Royal Majesty were Nathan Rider as Prince Bahari, son of Dr. Harold and Shelley Rider; and Jack Barton Romero as Prince Caspian, son of Barton and Kelly Patout Romero.
Serving as Princess to her Royal Majesty was Audrey Jessamine Romero, daughter of Barton and Kelly Patout Romero.
Serving as Royal honor guard for their Majesties were court Troubadours Nicholas Austin Begnaud, son of Nicky and Nicole Begnaud; Evan Theodore Haik, son of the Honorable Theodore “Trey” and Jeanne Haik III; Thomas Michael Dupuy and Keith Joseph Dupuy, sons of Dr. Chris and Susan Dupuy; Darrell “DJ” James Neuville III, son of Darrell and Phett Neuville Jr.; Andrew Michael Mayeux, son of Philip and Alicia Mayeaux; Luke Perret Rosenzweig, son of Dr. Seth and Julie Rosenzweig; Noah Thomas Reagan Bayard, son of Jason and Helen Bayard; Jack Robert Granger, son of Jonathan and Juliet Granger; and Charlee Nitchin Jr., son of Charlee and Chonephet Nitchin.
