Judy LeBlanc Terrell was born in New Iberia on October 29, 1955, to the late Walter P. and Theresa Menard LeBlanc. To know Judy is to know that she loved life, plain and simple. She was able to find joy in almost everything around her, but no more so than in her family. Her precious Benjamin was the guiding light in her life; she loved and treasured him without limits. In a bigger sense, Judy’s life was all about helping. There was nothing too big or too small; she took on anything and everything in order to bring greater happiness. She had a never-ending optimism and an enormous confidence that she could get things done. She just had a way of putting things in order and making things better, no matter the sacrifice it required. Judy was a loving wife and mother, and she will be missed tremendously.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Michael Terrell; son, Benjamin Terrell of Avery Island; sisters Rita Floris and husband Kenneth of New Iberia and Cindy Kiper and husband Ben of New Iberia; mother-in-law, Mercedes “Pal” Terrell of New Iberia; brothers-in- law Edward Terrell IV of Frisco, Texas, and Tim Terrell and wife Diane of New Orleans; nephews Briley Landry, Jared Floris, Andrew Terrell, Nick Terrell, and James Terrell; and a niece, Alaina Terrell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Eddie Terrell III, and a brother-in-law, Tommy Terrell.
Pallbearers will be Tim Terrell, Briley Landry, Jared Floris, Andrew Terrell, Nick Terrell and James Terrell. Honorary pallbearer is Kimmy Dore.
