Malvina Lancon

Malvina Lancon, age 65, of Delcambre passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette with her family by her side. She was born on September 18, 1952 to Willis and Lillian DeRouen Lancon.

Interment and a celebration of her life will be held at a later time.

Malvina went by many names, but Momma, Granny Mal and Auntie M were her favorites. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She was very creative and was usually found in her sewing room making something to give away. Every stitch, every paint stroke, every dot of glue was infused with her love and her projects will live on for generations to come. Malvina loved life and tried to leave you laughing whether she was dancing, clowning around, embarrassing her daughter, Tami, in public, or telling you what she found out by stalking Facebook. Malvina was good and kind. She made every moment memorable. She lived to make others happy. 

Malvina will be missed but she did not want any sad tears shed for her. She requested no funeral service. She wanted tears of laughter and happy memories shared with those who knew and loved her until her final breath. Malvina’s family and friends will throw a party celebrating her life to fulfill her final wish.

She is survived by her children, Tami Touchet and husband RP of New Iberia, Chance Louviere and wife Natasha of New Iberia, Andi Bergeron and husband Marcus, Sr. of Erath, Tuop Louviere and wife Brandy of New Iberia, and Troy Leger and wife Vickie of Lydia; siblings, Chris Lancon and wife Donna of Delcambre, Niggie Lancon and wife Linda of New Iberia, Charlotte Lancon of Maurice, Melissa Guidry and husband Shane of Maurice, and Connie Tutt and Veronica Brewer both of Texas; grandchildren, Molly Touchet, Emma Touchet, Audrey Touchet, Remmie Louviere, Tanner Louviere, Koi Louviere, Tre’ Roy, Baylee Louviere, Drake Mogerman, Dax Mogerman, Marcus Bergeron Jr., Kameron Bergeron, Kalab Bergeron, Hunner Louviere, Hannah Louviere, Wyatt Cross, Natalyia Cross, Liam Mogerman, Abigail Mogerman, Mikaela Mogerman, Tristan Leger; four great-grandchildren; niece, Katie Lancon and her children Randon and Lillian-Kate  and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, James Lee Louviere; grandson, Landon Louviere; brother, Bryan

Comeaux; favorite sister, Cynthia Tauzin; and parents, Willis and Lillian DeRouen Lancon.
