United Blood Services recently announced that a local blood drive will be held this week.

To help prepare for the blood needs that are brought on by the Mardi Gras season, United Blood Services has scheduled blood drives this Thursday and Friday in Iberia Parish. The drive will be held at two different locations on Thursday with a drive being held from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Grand 10 Theatre – New Iberia and from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Mac’s Sugar City Market in Jeanerette. The blood drive will wrap up from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Friday at the New Iberia Walmart. 

Donors who give blood at the New Iberia locations will received a free movie ticket at The Grand 10 and a Mardi Gras Blood Donor T-shirt (while supplies last). To schedule an appointment  go to www.bloodhero.com or call 235-LIFE (5433).
