Hilda Mae Board

A Mass of Christian burial will be held for Hilda Mae Board, 83, at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at St. Edward Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Vu as celebrant. 

She will await the resurrection in St. Edward Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in New Iberia. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home beginning at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 9 a.m. 

A resident of New Iberia, she passed away at 9:08 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at her residence. 

She leaves to cherish her memory four nieces Alnette Goodwill Marshall (Robert) of Davenport, Iowa, Nancy Goodwill of New Iberia, Hilda Yvonne Board Charles (Romell) of Rayne and Shelia Board of Rayne; and four nephews William Board III of Moss Point, Mississippi, Jackie Board of Atlanta, Russell Board of Rayne, Jason Board and Sherman Goodwill Jr. of California. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Board and Nedia Provost Board; three brothers Irvin Board, William Board II and Roosevelt Board II; and one sister Thelma Board Goodwin. 

Active pallbearers are Marlon Lewis, Alex Marshall, Mark Butler, Adlia Lewis, Wilkie Gerac and Ian Lewis. 

Honorary pallbearers are Whitney Gerac Jr., Wendell M. Gerac, Sherman Goodwill Jr., Danny Sparks and Jabari Goodwin. 

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fletcher Funeral Home, 609 West Admiral Doyle Drive, New Iberia, LA 70560.
