A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted for Mrs. Dale McAnally, the former Marsha Charpentier, 75, at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Delcambre officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday with a Rosary at 7 p.m. The funeral home will reopen at 8 a.m. on Saturday until service time.

A native of Morgan City, Mrs. McAnally lived most of her life in New Iberia before moving to Broussard. She passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 9:14 a.m. at her residence.

Mrs. McAnally was an active member of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church as a religious education teacher. She was a very spiritual woman, who served as director of the RCIA, a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Ladies Altar Society at Nativity of Our Lady and also Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Broussard. She was a very well rounded and knowledgeable lady who loved history and reading. She was a loving mother and grandmother, often babysitting and hosting birthday parties for her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends whom will dearly miss her. 

She is survived by four sons David Michael McAnally and wife, Nancy Verret, of Katy, Texas; Troy Anthony McAnally and wife, Denise Meaux, of Abbeville, Stuart John McAnally and wife, Andree Metz, of  New Iberia and Marc Jude McAnally and wife, Madeleine LeBlanc, of Youngsville; three daughters Stefani Ann McAnally Vanicor and husband, Randy, of Youngsville, Melissa Gale McAnally Reaux and husband, Clet, of Youngsville and Jennifer Lyn McAnally of New Iberia; nineteen grandchildren Amber, Madelyn and Camille McAnally, Chancie and Brandon Derouen, Mackenzie, Lindsay, Brett, Lauren and Erica McAnally,  Mallory, Emily and Luke McAnally, Van, David and Gabriel Vanicor, Aimee Cherie Matte, Keller Sandoz and Bailey Walker; eight great-grandchildren; one sister Kathryn Charpentier Pitre; and two brothers Gayle and Lloyd Charpentier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Eugene McAnally; her parents, Percy H. and Irene Beadle Charpentier; one granddaughter Morgan Elizabeth McAnally; one brother Darryl Charpentier; and one sister Marilyn Charpentier McKnight Shannon.

Pallbearers will be her sons David McAnally, Troy McAnally, Stuart McAnally and Marc McAnally; grandsons Keller Sandoz and Bailey Walker. 

Her sons-in-law Randy Vanicor and Clet Reaux will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to thank Lourdes Hospital, AMG Specialty Hospital, especially the LTAC team, for the care and compassion given to their mother and also Community Hospice for the care and compassion they have shown.
