Willis “Puga” Demouchet Jr.

ABBEVILLE — A Home-going celebration will be held for Willis “Puga” Demouchet Jr. at 11 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home in Abbeville. He will await the resurrection in St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville.

Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service.

A resident of Arkansas and native of Abbeville, he departed his earthly life at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare system in Little Rock, Arkansas.

“Puga” was an Abbeville High School graduate and served in the U. S. Army receiving an honorable discharge. He is also a retiree of the Union Pacific Railroad.

He leaves to cherish his memory, three brothers Kibbie Pillette (Sharon), Joseph Pillette (Joyce) of Abbeville and Michael Demouchet (Sherill) of Lake Charles; two sisters Mary Louise Goodie and Theresa Broussard both of Abbeville; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Paulette Demouchet; his mother, Louise Duhon; his father, Willis Demouchet Sr.; one brother Oris Pillette Sr.; one sister Martha Mae Pillette; and aunts and uncles.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Fletcher Funeral Home, 1116 Greene Street, Abbeville, LA 70510.
