A Home-going Celebration will be held for Trevalon Tre’von Antoine, 31, at 10 a.m.. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home in New Iberia, with Rev. Allegra St. Julien, officiating.

He will await the resurrection in Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Jeanerette.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. until time of service.

A resident of New Iberia, he passed at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans.

He leaves in God’s care, his wife, Taisa Smith Antoine of New Iberia; one son, Trevalon Antoine Jr. of New Iberia, his father, Warren (Laura) Smith; his mother, Faye Antoine; six sisters, Shenekia Nora, Kendra (Pius) Willis Jr., Kiara (Don) Jones, Sr., Shalawn Jones, Trelawn Antoine and Trelaune Antoine; one brother, Trevor Antoine; grandfather, Warren A. Smith Sr.; grandmother, Louvenia Antoine; aunts, Cynthia (Kevin) Stephen, Evelyn Lewis, Anna Lewis, Darlene (Wilton) Gibson, Lisa (Paul) Richard, Dr. Samona (Wrenwick) Drexler, Alena (Alfred) Price and Demetra Smith; uncles, Wayne (Detria) Smith, James K. Smith, Byron (Felicia) Smith, Willie (Angela) Smith, Kenneth (Lisa) Smith, Johnathan (Felicia) Smith and Jerry Lewis along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Willie Mae Tate Smith; maternal grandfather, Sidney C. Antoine; and uncle, Albert Antoine.

Active pallbearers are Charles Babineaux, Freddie Wright, Michael Lewis, Christopher Grogan, Wayne Smith Jr. and Travis Sereal.

Honorary pallbearers are Trevalon Antoine, Jr., Kenneth Smith, Denarius Joseph, Danny Lewis, James Reed, Dustin Louis, Nelson Fusilier, Avery Gims, Jeremy Vital, Brandon Pierre, Quinn Williams, Thomas Cormier and Jeffery Davis.
