William Joseph LeBlanc Sr.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for William Joseph LeBlanc Sr., 81, who passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018, in Broussard. 

A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.  

Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Officiant.  

Interment will follow at a later date. 

William Joseph LeBlanc Sr. was born in New Iberia, on August 27, 1936, to the late Willie and Noemie Myers LeBlanc. He retired from the Department of Transportation after 30 years of service and enjoyed fishing and cutting his grass. Mr. LeBlanc was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. 

He is survived by a son William J. LeBlanc Jr. and wife, Meredith of Broussard; daughter Diane LeBlanc of New Iberia; brothers Wilson LeBlanc and wife, Betty, of New Iberia, So LeBlanc of New Iberia, and Perry LeBlanc and wife Carmel of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Catelyn J. Tullier and fiancé David Landry, Logan P. Tullier and fiancé Sadie Lane, Michelle Vilayphanh, Cory Richardson, and Justin Richardson; great grandchildren, Rhett Preston Landry,  Kade Richardson, Sierra Olivier, and Blake and McKenzie Semar.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Leonard LeBlanc; and sisters Euphemie “Toot” Hebert, Luna Aucoin, and Sue Kennedy.
