A home-going celebration will be held for Quincy Roderick Joseph Sr., 40, at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Christian Fellowship with Bishop Darren Sophus Sr. officiating.
Entombment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum in New Iberia.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of service.
A native and resident of New Iberia, he passed at 12:05 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. He was a licensed barber for years.
He leaves to cherish his fond memory, his loving wife, Tina Doucet Joseph, of New Iberia; his father, Leroy Joseph Sr. of New Iberia; three sons Staven Porter Sr., Quincy Roderick Joseph Jr., and Jamari Jones all of New Iberia; two daughters Alexis Joseph and Diajzon Branch both of New Iberia; two brothers Leroy Joseph, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia and Troy Nicholas (Cassandra) of New Iberia; five sisters Sheila Smith and Kim Joseph Provost (Keith) of New Iberia, Donna Dixon of Corona, California, Wanda Thomas of Port Arthur, Texas and Anitress Joseph of Humble, Texas; two grandchildren, Ali’Yonna Joseph and Staven Porter Jr.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Doucet Sr. and Shirley Anthony Doucet; godmother Geraldine Brown and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geraldine Lewis Joseph; paternal grandparents, Harold Joseph and Eula Gaddison; maternal grandparents, Sanford Lewis and Lovenia Babineaux and a nephew, Willis Anderson III.
Active pallbearers are Alvin Gaddison Jr., Mose Gaddison Jr., Shawn Mouton, Troy Smith, Glenn Vangure and Larry Walker.
Honorary pallbearers are Kawaun Anderson, Otis Anderson, Chad Doucet Sr., John Doucet Jr., Tyler Jackson, Jamari Joseph, Leroy Joseph Jr., Troy Nicholas, Keith Provost Jr. and Keith Provost Sr.
