Dianne was born in Lafayette but lived and loved New Iberia as her home since 1952. She loved history and obtained a grant in order to have the photographs of I.A. And Carroll Martin printed and helped produce a photographic history of New Iberia. Two books of photographs were created as a result of these efforts. Dianne and Smitty videotaped residents of New Iberia creating an oral history of the town of which some of the videos were transcribed into two books “What Cannot Be Lost.”

Dianne graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau in 1948, attended Maryville College of the Sacred Heart and returned to obtain her degree at the College at Grand Coteau in 1952. She devoted her life to not only her immediate family but her extended family and many extras who showed up at her kitchen bar.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, the Iberia Parish Library, and/or Catholic High School.
