Donations needed for tennis courts

The New Iberia City Park Playground Enhancement Group is asking for the community to make tax-deductible donations to the Parks and Recreation Fund for improvements to the New Iberia City Park Tennis Courts through South Louisiana (SOLA) Giving Day.
According to a prepared statement, the New Iberia City Park Playground Enhancement Group has noticed an increase in the tennis community. The cost of the renovation project to update the tennis courts is $15,000.
SOLA Giving Day is a 24-hour online fundraising event to support nonprofit organizations, churches and schools. More than 130 organizations have registered to participate.
SOLA Giving Day will be held on May 10 beginning at midnight and ending at 11:59 p.m. Donors can schedule a donation today through May 9. Or, donors can make a donation on the day of giving on May 10.
Using a personal computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone device, donors can visit www.SouthLouisianaGivingDay.org/IberiaParks. Donations can be made with a debit or credit card.
There are several sponsorships available.
n Match Sponsor – $1,000 or more: Tax deductible contribution; your name is in a prominent location on a temporary sign located next to the tennis courts; a thank you advertisement is placed in the local papers.
nSet Sponsor – $500 – $999: Tax deductible contribution; your name is on a temporary sign located next to the playground equipment. Your name is included in thank you advertisement in the local papers.
nGame Sponsor– $1 – $499: Tax deductible contribution; Your name is included in thank you advertisement in the local papers.
This fundraising effort is a partnership of the New Iberia City Park Playground Enhancement Group, Mayor Freddie Decourt, and the Iberia Parish Foundation (IPF), an affiliate of Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA). CFA is a nonprofit corporation whose core purpose is to build legacies and improve communities by connecting generous people to the causes they care about.
