IPSO deputies searching for armed robbery suspect

 On April 23 at about 4 in the morning, deputies with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the Hop In on 304 S. Lewis St. in reference to an armed robbery. 

It was later discovered that a black male entered the store demanding the clerk give him everything in the register. The suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie, black mask, blue pants and was armed with a camouflage AK-47, or a variant thereof.

According to deputies, the suspect handed the clerk a bag to place the money in. The suspect ended up fleeing in a Southbound direction after exiting the store.
