Arthur “Man” Joseph

Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Edward “Man” Joseph, 88, will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at St. Edward Catholic Church, 175 W. Ambassador LeMelle Drive, New Iberia. Father Thomas Vu will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the St. Edward Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be observed from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at Journet & Bolden Funeral Home, 711 S. Corinne Street, New Iberia. 

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Joseph passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2018, at 5:17 a.m. at his residence following a lengthy illness. He worked for many years as an expert Brick Layer.

He leaves to cherish fond memories of his life; his wife, Florence Dixon Joseph of New Iberia; one son David Morris Joseph (Jacqueline) of Youngsville; two daughters Jacqueline Ann Joseph (Kenneth) of Katy, Texas, and Deidra Elizabeth Joseph Clay (Darrel) of New Iberia; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Claudia Joseph; one daughter Bonita Marie Joseph Davis; all siblings Clearance Jr., Morris, Harold, Lawrence, Leonard, Prunella Snow, Neitha Mae, Nicholas, and Renella Lee.

Those serving as Active pallbearers will be Reginald Davis Sr., Bryan Joseph, Dustin Clay Sr., Robert Davis, David Joseph Jr., and Christian Grant.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Joseph, Kerry Joseph, Kendall Joseph, Leroy James Joseph Sr., Justin Viltz, Leroy “Bucket” Joseph Sr.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Journet & Bolden Funeral Home, 711 S. Corinne Street, New Iberia, 369-3638.
