ST. MARTINVILLE — The St. Martinville Police Department have detained two men in connection to a May 9 homicide that happened on Bridge Street. 

According to SMPD Chief Ricky Martin, 22-year-old Tradell Deouchet was arrested for accessory after the fact to first degree murder Tuesday and booked into the St. Martin Parish Jail. 

Later that afternoon, Jaqualin Henry was arrested for first degree murder after he turned himself in. 

The incident occurred 6 p.m. on May 9 when SMPD deputies responded to a shooting at 331 W. Bridge St. and discovered Kendal Livingston and Chosen Washington with gunshot wounds. Washington was pronounced dead after being taken to a local hospital, while Livingston is in stable condition.
