Funeral services will be held for Ms. Elsie Olivier, 75, at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home.

She will await the resurrection in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Loreauville.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service.

A resident of Loreauville, she passed on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Maison Teche Nursing Center in Jeanerette.

A member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses congregation in St. Martinville, Ms. Olivier loved reading the Bible. She attended Grambling State University and was a retired educator, having taught in the Iberia Parish School System for 25 years. She was also a graduate of Jonas Henderson High School Class of 1961.

She leaves to cherish her fond memory, two sons, Deacon Roland Jeanlouis and his wife, Darlene and their two children Christopher James Jeanlouis and Mariah Nicole Jeanlouis all of Loreauville; Sherman Joseph Green of Dallas, Texas and his two children Aamya LaShon Green and Karter Joseph Collins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland Olivier and Louise Simon Olivier and her sister Virgie Mae Olivier.
