Mrs. P. A. Thibodeaux

Emmy Renee Mouton and Peter Allen Thibodeaux were married at 7 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge. The bride is the daughter of Tony and Skeeter Mouton of Coteau. The groom is the son of Mark and Jody Thibodeaux of Breaux Bridge.

Escorted by her mother and father, the bride wore an Oleg Cassini A-line gown crafted with three types of lace motifs, classic beads and sequins, a chapel train and off-the-shoulder lace sleeves.

For her headpiece, her “something borrowed” from her matron of honor, the bride wore a two-tier mid-length veil featuring beaded scallops.

She carried a bouquet of a mix of quicksand roses, peach-colored garden roses, coral-colored ranunculus, pink peonies blended with eucalyptus greenery and draped by her grandmother’s rosary.

Serving as matron of honor was Sarah Serrette, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lacey Mouton, sister-in-law of the bride, Allison Hebert, Brinkley Lopez, Helen Poe and Lacy Buford. Serving as flower girls were Amelie Claire Serrette and Laikyn Ann Mouton, godchildren of the bride and Isabelle Marie Serrette and Rylie Claire Mouton, nieces of the bride.

Serving as best man was Mark Thibodeaux. Groomsmen were Jake Mouton and Josh Mouton, brothers of the bride and Michael Hebert, John Begnaud and David McLeish. Wade Mire, godfather of the bride, Clark Thibodeaux, godfather of the groom, Calvin Serrette, brother-in-law of the bride and Brice Romero served as ushers.

A reception for family and friends was held immediately after the ceremony at Cade Community Center in St. Martinville.

Following a wedding road trip through Texas and in January 2019, a trip to Banff, Canada, the couple will reside in Breaux Bridge.
