JEANERETTE —Funeral Services for Elnora Gary, 80, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at David Funeral Home, 400 Provost St., Jeanerette with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Jeanerette on Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue on Sunday, June 17, 2018, from 8 a.m. until time of service. Recitation of the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday, June 17, 2018, with the Men’s Rosary Group.
A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, she spent her most precious times praying the Rosary, saying her prayers and church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and would often play pokeno. Elnora was a newspaper distributor for 25 years, worked as a manager of Bill’s Dollar Store and owned Joe’s Quick Stop.
She is survived by seven children Glenna Parria and husband, Michael, of Jeanerette, Henry Curtis Jr and companion, Angela Landry, of Jeanerette, Michael Curtis and wife, Margaret, of New Iberia, Juella Owens and husband, Hilton Sr., of Franklin, Vicki Lopez and husband, Melvin, of Iota, Carl Curtis and Eric Fangue of Kissimmee, Florida and Karissa Jones of Jeanerette; brother Richard Guillotte Sr. and wife, Diane, of Jeanerette; sister Susan G. Lusk of New Iberia who was always at her side; 28 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Henry Curtis Sr. and Joseph Gary; parents, Tellerson J. Guillotte Sr. and Eva Bonin Guillotte; son Julian Curtis; son-in-law Charles Jones; brother and sister-in-law Tellerson J. Guillotte Jr. and Joella; brother-in-law John Lusk.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Parria, Jamie Curtis, Hilton Owens Jr, Tellerson Curtis, Jarrot Jones and Timothy Curtis.
