Loreauville — Funeral Services will be conducted for Lucy B. Bayard, age 97, at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018, at David Funeral Home Chapel located at 118 Main Street with Fr. Godwin Nezeh officiating the services and interment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will begin on Monday, July 2, 2018, at 8 a.m. until time of services at 11a.m. at David Funeral Home located at 118 Main Street.
Lucy B. Bayard, a native of New Iberia and a lifelong resident of Loreauville, passed away at her residence at 8:23 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018. Lucy B. Bayard was born to Joseph Clovis and Camille Lasseigne Breaux in New Iberia on October 27, 1920.
Lucy was a longtime member of the Pink Ladies at Dauterive Hospital, a bookkeeper for Breaux’s Bay Craft and part owner of the Bayard Lumber Company. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Lucy was well known for her amazing sewing ability.
Lucy is survived by two sons, Baron Bayard of Loreauville and Carman Wayne Patrick Bayard and his wife Pat of Loreauville; one daughter, Mary Betty Arcement and husband Harry of New Iberia; one brother, J. C. Breaux Sr. and wife Lucille of New Iberia and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Laurent Bayard; parents, Joseph Clovis and Camille Lasseigne Breaux; one sister, Florela Dartez and one brother, James A. Breaux Sr.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Baron Bayard, Brayton Bayard, Brannon Bayard, Louis Eldridge, Chris Pelous, Harry Arcement, Blaine Gray and Darrell Neuville Sr.
