BALDWIN The Baldwin Board of Aldermen will decide the fate of the town’s administrative clerk at Thursday’s meeting.

Town Clerk Chrystal Willis was placed on administrative leave with pay Wednesday, pending the board meeting to be held at 6 p.m. Thursday.

At that meeting, Mayor Donna Lanceslin is slated to ask the board to terminate Willis from working in town government.

According to a letter Willis received, the mayor cited insubordination, creating and executing documents beyond the clerk’s authority, abusing her position as clerk, and/or creating a work environment that isn’t conducive to productivity as the causes for the termination.
