Mrs. Jenna Gachassin Schaubert

Jenna Marie Gachassin and Jed Michael Schaubert were united in matrimony on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at sunset on the Florida Key Island of Islamorada. The bride is the daughter of Jack Gauchassin and Tania Bienvenu of New Iberia, Louisiana. The groom is the son of Guy and Julie Schaubert of New Iberia.

The bride wore a Galina form fitting eyelash lace sheath dress that swooped low at the back, complimented by a lace train that trailed weightlessly behind.

She wore a delicate veil featuring elegant lace accents paying homage to the traditional mantilla classic, paired with diamond stud earrings and matching necklace. Her look was humbly complete with sand dusted barefeet.

The bride carried a cascading tropical hand tied bouquet of Majestic Orchids, Bird of Paradise and Anthuriums wrapped with satin pearl pinned ribbon. Coupled her bouquet was also a gifted monogrammed handerchief from her mother-in-law and draped with her late grandmother Bertil Hardy Thibodeaux’s blue antique rosary.

Rome Christian and Atlas Cruz affectionately escorted their mother under swaying palm trees to Elivs Presley’s “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.”

The bride took a nontraditional approach and asked her loving, older brother Jacque Gachassin, and father of the flower girl, to serve as her man of honor.

Serving as best man was Zachary Schaubert, brother and best friend of the groom. The best man and man of honor stood with the newlyweds through their wedding ceremony as a sign of love and support. Serving as flower girl was Vaughn Katherine Gachassin, godchild of the bride.

After the ocean front ceremony, fire dancers performed and entertained the newlyweds along with close family and friends. While live island music was being played, they all dined to a classic Carribean dinner on the beach.

The bride is a high school teacher in Lafayette parish and the groom is a police officer in the city of Youngsville.

After a honeymoon getaway to the Bahamas, the bride and groom will reside in New Iberia.
