Jules Earl King

A celebration of life will be held for Mr. Jules Earl King, 52, at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. Eric J. Fondal Sr. officiating.

He will await the resurrection in St. Matthew Cemetery in New Iberia.

A gathering of family and friends will begin on Saturday at the funeral home 8 a.m. until time of service.

Jules, a resident of Lafayette and native of Olivier, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

He accepted Christ as his Savior and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

He leaves in God’s care to cherish his fond memory the love of his life, his devoted wife of 19 years, Wanda Simon King, of Lafayette; his mother Amie P. King Lambert of Olivier; one sister Berryl Thomas (William) of Covington; three brothers Waylon King Sr. (LeEtta) and Eddie King (Marguerite Alexis) of New Iberia and Troy King (Dominic) of Tomball, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are Waylon King Sr., Waylon King Jr., Chris Joseph, Taylor Hamilton, Tyson Crofton and William Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers are Troy King, Eddie King, Marklyn King, Davy Dupree, John Dupree and Willard Lovette Jr.
