Daylon "Ko Ko" Alexander

ST. MARTINVILLE — St. Martinville Police have identified a suspect in the Aug. 5 shooting death of St. Martinville resident 17-year-old Malik Filer.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Daylon “Ko Ko” Alexander for second degree murder.

St. Martinville police have reported that the shooting occurred in the 400 block of North Vivier Street last week. Upon arrival they found Filer with several gunshot wounds Acadian Ambulance brought him to a local hospital.

Filer later died from his wounds at the hospital.
