On June 19, 2018 the New Iberia Police Department was sworn in on the steps of City Hall on Main Street. Members of the police department, led by the new Police Chief Todd D’Albor, were sworn in by Judge John Conery. Dignitaries, Iberia Parish citizens and supporters were in attendance.
