Memorial Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Jean “Zan” Broussard, 89, the former Anita Landry, will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, in the Chapel of Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory, 108 Hardware Road, Broussard. The family request that visiting hours be observed beginning at 3 p.m. until Rosary services at 4:30 p.m. Memorial Services will begin at 5 p.m. Interment will be at a later date at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. 

A native of Coteau and resident of New Iberia, for 70 years, Mrs. Broussard died at 10:05 a.m., on Thursday, at St. Joseph’s Carpenters House in Lafayette.

Anita loved to garden. With a natural “green thumb” she could grow any plant from a seed and could always be found working in her flowerbeds and gardens around her house. She also enjoyed sewing and having coffee breaks with her neighbors.

Mrs. Broussard was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church of New Iberia.

She is survived by her two sons Lenward J. Broussard of Lafayette and Brian J. Broussard of Foley, Alabama; four daughters Gail Turnwall of Youngsville, Nanci Berard of New Iberia, Candace Geoffroy of Lafayette and Angel Reaux of New Iberia; her brother Wilfred Landry of Eunice; thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Broussard was preceded in death by her husband, Jean “Zan” Broussard; parents, Aliba and Levie Bourque Landry; three brothers Willie Landry, Harry Landry and Raymond Landry; three sisters Alexis Landry, Mable Peltier and Agnes Derouen.
