Ury “Braq” Braquet, 92, died August 28, 2018, in Port Arthur, Texas. Braq was a native of Loreauville and a resident of Groves, Texas since 1945. Braq was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and volunteered at the Catholic Charities Hospitality Center for 33 years and also with the United Board of Missions. He was a former member of the Sertoma Club. Braq served his country during WWII in the Mercant Marines and in the U.S. Army.
Braq is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn Braquet of Groves, Texas; his children Curtis Colicher of Lumberton, Texas, Tod Braquet of Port Neches, Texas, Gail Glecher of Clear Lake, Texas, Roxi Struebing of Canyon Lake, Texas, Suzette Braquet and Si’Mone Braquet both of Sugarland, Texas; a sister Janet Thibodeaux of Loreauville; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The arrangements are entrusted to Grammier Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur, Texas.
